eGift Card Terms and Conditions
RedemptionAveda eGift Cards can be used as payment for purchases made online at aveda.com and at company-owned freestanding Aveda retail stores in the United States. Aveda eGift Cards cannot be used as payment in department stores or any salon, spa or retail location that is not owned and operated by Aveda. eGift Cards may be redeemed for merchandise or services and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash, except as required by law. For company-owned Aveda retail store locations, please call 1 (800) 644 4831 or visit aveda.com.
Expiration and Service FeesAveda eGift Cards have no expiration date and no service fees.
View Your BalanceTo view your eGift Card balance, visit visit https://www.aveda.com/giftcards/balance.tmpl or Customer Support.
ReturnsYou may not return or cancel your eGift Card after it is sent to the recipient. Purchasers who wish to cancel an order for an eGift Card may do so prior to the delivery date selected during the order process by contacting Customer Support.
Lost or Stolen eGift CardsPlease safeguard your eGift Card. If your eGift Card is lost or stolen, you should immediately contact Customer Support. We will replace eGift Cards that are lost or stolen only if the purchaser's confirmation email is presented as proof of purchase.
LimitationsPromotional offers and discounts may not be applied to the purchase of eGift Cards, and purchases of eGift Cards will not be used to satisfy promotional thresholds.
Risk of LossOwnership and risk of loss with respect to eGift Cards passes to the purchaser once we send an email notification to the recipient. Except as otherwise provided herein, neither CashStar nor ELC is responsible for lost or stolen eGift Cards.
Customer ServiceIf you need assistance of any kind concerning the purchase, ownership, or use of an eGift Card, please contact Customer Support. Please be ready to provide your order number or email address.
Payment MethodsAveda eGift Cards may be purchased with a valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express, or by using PayPal.
Delivery Information and Requirements for eGift Card PurchasersWe are not responsible for eGift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to your failure to correctly enter the recipient's email address. Please check to make sure the email address of the recipient is correct and contact Customer Support if you suspect the recipient did not receive his/her eGift Card. Should an email be returned to us due to inaccurate delivery information for the recipient, we will attempt to contact you for a valid email address.
Sometimes a recipient's email address is correct, but he or she does not access the eGift Card within a reasonable period after the requested delivery date. The following is a list of the most common reasons why this may occur:
- Spam filter blocked email or routed it to a bulk/spam folder
- Recipient's firewall blocked the email
- Email inbox is over size limit
NOTE: Orders may be delayed in the event of a discrepancy between the purchaser's information provided to CashStar with information provided by the purchaser's financial institution. If you do not receive confirmation that your eGift Card was sent by the requested date, please contact Customer Support. You will be asked to provide your order number or email address.
Personalized MessagingIf you wish to add a personal message when purchasing an eGift Card, simply type your message in the Message Field on the eGift Card preview. Personal messages are limited in length to the space provided on the eGift Card. There is no additional charge to include a personalized message. We reserve the right to remove or replace inappropriate, offensive or otherwise objectionable messages.
SMSBy using the text messaging functionality and providing the eGift Card recipient's mobile number, you consent to initiate one (1) text message from CashStar to the recipient with the eGift Card link.
Limitation of LiabilityThe materials on the website are provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, either express or implied, with respect to any materials on the website or the Aveda eGift Cards, including without limitation, warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement of intellectual property. Your use of the website is at your sole risk, and you assume full responsibility for any costs associated with your use of the website. Neither ELC nor CashStar shall be liable to you for any damages resulting from your use of the website. If an eGift Card is non-functional, your sole remedy, and our sole liability, shall be replacement of such eGift Card.
DisputesMindful of the high cost of litigation, not only in dollars but also in time and energy, you and we agree to the following dispute resolution procedure: In the event of any controversy, claim, action or dispute arising out of or related to any transaction conducted on the website, an eGift Card, or the breach, enforcement, interpretation, or validity of these Terms and Conditions or any part of it ("Dispute"), the party asserting the Dispute shall first try in good faith to settle such Dispute by providing written notice to the other party(s) (by first class or registered mail) describing the facts and circumstances (including any relevant documentation) of the Dispute and allowing the receiving party 30 days in which to respond to or settle the Dispute. Notice shall be sent to:

(2) you at: your last-used billing address and/or the email address in your online profile. You and we agree that this dispute resolution procedure is a condition precedent which must be satisfied prior to initiating any litigation or filing any claim against the other party.
Choice of LawThese Terms and Conditions shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to any conflict of law provisions. You and we agree that any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved exclusively by the state and/or federal courts in Fairfax County, Virginia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and/or federal courts in Fairfax County, Virginia. The waiver of any provision of the Agreement shall not be considered a waiver of any other provision or of our right to require strict observance of each of the terms herein. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid for any reason, that provision shall be severable, and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
